Lower Focus is no joke. Between the lunge and squat progressions by quads were aching five minutes in. It was nice to exercise after my rest day. But after 25 minutes my legs were DONE, and I still had another 25 minutes of Alpha Cardio. I didn't want to start it since I was shaking, but I put on my big girl panties and popped in the DVD. Because I never regret working out MORE, and I knew I'd be mad at myself if I didn't complete it, especially since its week one.
Surprisingly Cardio was easier for me than it was on Monday, and mind you this was my second workout. It was over before I knew it! And I did enjoy it!

I'm feeling myself get stronger and stronger. Even some of the modifier moves are too easy so I've started doing some of the harder moves! My weight has gone down only about a half of a pound but I am seeing small changes in my body. That is keeping me motivated. Its hard not to see results over night but the book the compound effect (A book I'm reading) explains as a society we've gotten into the mind set of overnight results and success but what it really takes is hard work and small changes over time. That really resonated with me. And I will continue to repeat that mantra to myself until I get the results I really want.
After my workout I got to enjoy what is becoming my favorite part of my day, my Shakeology! I decided to try the pumpkin spice latté recipe I posted on Thursday. Oh. MY. GOD. It was phenomenal. Every bit of good as the original AND healthy! Seriously how is this even fair! When I first was told about the cost of Shakeology I was pretty skeptical, but it is worth Every. Single. Penny. With all of the vitamins and nutrients my body has been craving, helping me recover from my workouts, and it tasting like heaven I can't imagine my life without it! I now know why everyone raves about it!! What a perfect start to my Saturday!!! What are you doing this weekend?
